Plailtei is your personal vintage flea market treasure archive, built to help you document, organize and celebrate your thrifted gem collection. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect and handle your personal information when you use our app to snap photos of your vintage finds, record their origin stories and era details, build your personal retro gallery, and filter your collection by decade or country to relive your treasure hunting adventures.

We only collect information that is necessary to deliver and improve our service, and we are committed to protecting the privacy of your personal collection and data at all times.

2. Information We Collect

We collect two types of information from you, depending on how you choose to use Plailtei:

• Information you voluntarily provide to us:
  • Vintage treasure data: Photos of your thrifted gems, origin stories, era/decade tags, purchase country/location details, price notes, and any other custom information you add to your collection entries
  • Account information (optional): If you choose to create a cloud sync account, we will collect your chosen display name, email address, and encrypted password to secure your synced collection
  • Feedback and support requests: Any messages, suggestions or issue reports you send to our team
• Automatically collected information (optional, depending on your settings):
  • Device and usage data: Device type, operating system version, app crash logs, and anonymous usage metrics such as which decade/country filters you use most often, to help us improve app functionality and user experience
  • Local storage data: If you choose to use Plailtei without a cloud account, all your collection data is stored only on your local device, and we do not collect or access this data at all

3. How We Use Your Information

We only use your information for the purposes you have consented to, including:

• Delivering core Plailtei functionality: Storing your vintage collection entries, generating your personal retro gallery, enabling decade and country filtering, and syncing your data across devices if you have opted in to cloud service
• Improving our service: Analyzing anonymous usage patterns to optimize filter categories, add new features that fit user needs, and fix app performance issues
• Providing support: Responding to your feedback, troubleshooting issues you report, and sending you important service updates (such as changes to our sync functionality)
• Sending personalized recommendations (optional, opt-in only): Sharing vintage collection care tips, hidden flea market recommendations relevant to the regions you collect from, and feature updates aligned with the eras you most often collect

We will never use your personal collection content for any purpose you have not explicitly agreed to.

4. Information Sharing

We will never sell, rent, or lease your personal information or collection content to third parties for commercial purposes. We only share your information in the following limited circumstances:

• With your explicit consent: If you choose to share individual vintage treasure entries to social media or other external platforms, we will only transfer the specific content you have selected to share
• With trusted service providers: We work with limited third-party service providers who assist us in delivering our service (such as secure cloud hosting providers), all of whom are bound by strict confidentiality agreements and are not permitted to use your personal information for any purpose other than providing services to Plailtei
• When required by applicable legal obligations: If we are required to disclose your information to comply with valid legal processes, we will do so only to the extent required, and we will notify you of such disclosure where permitted by law

5. Your Rights

You retain full ownership and control over all your collection data and personal information, and you can exercise the following rights at any time:

• Access and export: You can view all your collection data and export a full copy of your entire archive in a machine-readable format directly from the app settings
• Edit and delete: You can edit or delete individual collection entries, or erase your entire collection, at any time. If you use a cloud account, you can also delete your account permanently, which will erase all your synced data from our servers within 72 hours
• Control permissions: You can adjust app permissions to restrict access to your device camera, photo gallery, or local storage at any time through your device settings
• Opt out of non-essential communications: You can opt out of personalized recommendations and non-essential update emails at any time through the app settings or by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send

If you use Plailtei entirely offline with no cloud account, you can erase all your data at any time by uninstalling the app from your device.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure:

• All data transferred between your device and our cloud servers is encrypted using SSL/TLS technology
• Cloud-stored collection data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption
• All our third-party service providers follow strict data security standards to protect your information

While we take all reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. We will notify you promptly in the event of any data breach that affects your personal information, as required by applicable law.

7. Minor Privacy

Plailtei is not intended for use by minors who do not have consent from a parent or legal guardian to use the service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors without verifiable parental consent. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a minor without appropriate consent, we will immediately delete that information from our systems.

8. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our service, legal requirements, or data handling practices. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through an in-app notification at least 30 days before the updated policy takes effect. Your continued use of Plailtei after the updated policy takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
